Hi Clive you never mentioned to me you needed a clutch conversion to the handle bars when you phoned about changing your brakes to handle bar breaking.

Again this conversion is available which involves fitting a concentrate slave cylinder inside the bell housing or you could fit an external slave cylinder obtainable from VW beetle heritage site, you would  then have the break on the

right-hand and clutch on the left-hand handle bars, one would think this is a simple conversion to do but it does have its technical problems to overcome, the biggest problem is you have to change gears with your right hand with this setup, so when you are changing gears you have no control over the throttle or break at all (if you fit just a slave cylinder for the clutch)   to overcome this problem Rewaco at the factory fit a electronic hydraulic solenoid operated by a pushbutton switch on the left handle bars, if you're not familiar with the setup

it works like this: say you come to a stop on a hill both hands are occupied working the clutch and brake levers so as you cannot use the parking brake or

gear stick at this point, but by pulling the main break lever and then pushing the switch it will lock the brakes on where you left them so leaving your right hand free to select a gear and then using the throttle and clutch to take up the weight then press the button and  the breaks are released and you're on your way.

My personal belief is if you can use your left leg for the clutch Clive do so, as

this is quite a complex set up I also feel there is room for improvement with this set up may be a kinetic sequential gear change or something, leaving your hands free for the important part of driving, stopping!!

As for me doing the brake and clutch conversation for you Clive,I have my

HS4 and the two trikes I'm building in my workshop so I have no room to do this work but more importantly although I know I could do theconversion

I build trikes for a hobby not a profession and therefore I do not have any public liability insurance as the responsibility far outweighs the risk, sorry.

If you can find a qualified company in this country to do the work I could assist you with technical drawings and photographs of the general arrangements of the conversion.

Iknow when you mention the word mobility they seems to ad   £00000

but I think you've got  to bite the bullet, my advice is have Rewaco do the job

although I am curious how much it costs. Cheers Mike
